§ 102-21. Bond required.

  • No person desiring to excavate or break any concrete, brick or bituminous pavement or oiled earth surface of any street or alley shall fail to post bond or letter of credit or other acceptable financial instrument with the city clerk in the amount of $1,000.00 protecting the city against any repair for a period of two years from the completion of the initial repair. This requirement shall not apply in the case of an individual doing work in a street contiguous to his own place of residence. A plumber's bond issued by the state and filed with the clerk shall meet the requirements of this section.
