The director of police shall inspect and examine all automatic coin machine phonographs
and musical devices, for the use or playing of which a fee is charged, for the purpose
of ascertaining whether the laws of the state and the ordinances of the city are being
complied with, and the operators of any such machine shall, on the request of the
director, at any reasonable time during the day, accompany the director to any place
where such machine is located so that the same may be inspected.
