§ 110-48. Established.

(a)

There is hereby established a government access cable television station to be operated by the city and such station shall be known as the city cable television (ECTV) department.

(b)

The channel assignment for city cable television shall be as set forth by the cable television service provider under the franchise agreement with the city.

(c)

The hours of operation for city cable television shall be as recommended by the cable television advisory committee unless directed otherwise by the corporate authorities. However, nothing herein shall be interpreted to restrict the authority of the mayor or his designee to direct and assign personnel.

(d)

The offices and studio of the city cable television shall be at a location assigned by the mayor unless determined otherwise by the city council.
