§ 118-25. Maintenance of and charges for grinder pumps in Dunlap Lake area.

  • (a)

    All grinder pumps installed by the city, or any contractor or subcontractor on its behalf, as part of the overall sewerage system constructed under the state environmental protection agency (IEPA) project C172180, shall be maintained by the sewer division and, when it is determined by the division that the same need to be replaced, shall be replaced at the expense of the city.

    (b)

    All electrical power charges for such grinder pumps shall be the responsibility of the homeowner or other person receiving the direct benefits of the use of such pump.

    (c)

    Monthly service charge for said grinder pumps shall be deposited into the sewer operation and maintenance fund. Expenses of maintenance or replacement of said grinder pumps shall be paid from the sewer operation and maintenance fund.
