§ 18-145. Exterior property areas; sanitation.

  • All exterior property areas and premises shall be maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition free from any accumulation of rubbish or garbage.

    (1)

    Containers. The operator of every establishment producing garbage, vegetable wastes, or other putrescible materials shall provide and use leakproof containers for the storage of such materials until removed from the premises for disposal.

    (2)

    Weeds. All lots shall be maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of 12 inches. All noxious weeds shall be prohibited. "Weeds" shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants and vegetation other than trees or shrubs. This term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens.

    (3)

    Storage areas. Storage of debris, junk or construction materials, which are not associated with an approved use or permitted construction at that site, shall be prohibited.
